The 2024 ASTW Convention was a bespoke event created into collaboration with Hunter Valley Wine & Tourism Association, which provided the fabulous famils and the welcome cocktail party, and strategic sponsor Destination NSW. Their contribution was greatly appreciated.

The Hunter Valley is Australia’s oldest wine region and home to the signature drop, sémillon, along with stellar chardonnay, shiraz, cabernet sauvignon and verdelho.

The event included a 1.5-day of conferencing (speakers and panel discussions), a welcome cocktail party at VAMP Wine Rooms, the ASTW annual general meeting, the Awards for Excellence gala dinner with post-dinner entertainment, and accommodation in one-bedroom or two-bedroom luxury villas at the Oaks Cypress Lakes Resort in Pokolbin, the heart of the Hunter Valley.

Pre and post tours allowed members to see, smell, swirl, sip and savour the best of Hunter, presented opportunities to meet local winemakers and craftspeople, and get the heart racing through an intoxicating mix of outdoor activities.
